I love unexpectedly discovering that a brand carries petite sizes! Pendleton is a family-owned company based in the US. They are primarily known for their wool blankets, so when I visited one of their stores I wasn't expecting to be particularly interested in their clothing options. Amazingly, they had petite sizes! And quite a variety, too. There are currently over a hundred different items available in petite on their website.
The styles look like they are designed to be comfortable wardrobe staples in quality fabrics. I suspect items like plaid shirts and cozy cardigans may be cut looser and could be too big for smaller ladies even in their petite sizes. I wasn't able to try on too much as they had a sale and there weren't many xs petites in store (they call this size "petite petite"). I did find this simple grey merino wool turtleneck!
I like how the shoulders and overall length fit, and the material feels sturdy and warm. The torso and sleeves are a little roomier than I'd typically choose but still quite wearable. It's well suited for a casual work environment, a winter getaway, or a weekend lunch.
I am super impressed that a smaller, family-owned company caters to a variety of sizes such as petites. I will definitely be checking out different styles from them in the future!
